{4th of July}

Maisey did a fish tail braid in my hair for me. It was a nice treat since we woke at 4:30AM to go watch the hot air balloons launch (which ended up being canceled).
We marked our parade spot at 6:30 AM. It started at 9 and although we were the 3rd row, by the time it ended we were 10 rows back! Grrrr. People are so impolite sometimes!

Maisey spent her birthday gift cards at one of her favorite stores, Forever 21.
We had TCBY, and old OR memory. Only, my flavor was spoiled! After telling the lady it was sour and spoiled she replied, "You're the third person to say that today!"
We watched fireworks in Lehi rather than Provo as we originally planned. It was a great 4th!

The kids were dead tired!

{Drive-in}

Yes, there's a drive in in SLC. I think we're addicted now. The kids LOVED it and it reminded me of the times I went as a kid. They're still double features!

Vacation is over and I packed in some sewing first.

Now onto studying for my licensure exam!

{Christmas in July???}

Well, not really, but I've always thought it was cool when my friends' large families would do that.
This was Maisey's idea. She read about pretending it's summer in the winter and went this way instead. I obliged to making homemade cinnamon rolls for the first time (I did it Kristy!!!; I did make orange rolls once) along with mint cocoa.

The holiday media is packed away so we downloaded a Christmas book and watched a Christmas movie on Netflix.

{keeping brown}

My kids take after their father in the summer and they are a beautiful brown. Me, I burn each week (with sunscreen), peel, and try to keep the tan I do have.

Maisey's gift to her friend for her birthday. We love gift certificates or treats like that. It's about the memories as my Aunt Alyce would say not a tangible gift.
