The BIG NEWS is that Maisey made the competition team she auditioned for.

She is SO happy!!! As of this time she is registered for 8 classes, BUT, Chad and I would like to knock out at least one, likely musical theatre (dancing while lip syncing).

She will perform all around Portland at concerts in the park (3 in Aug), PSU half-time performances (2), the Washington County Fair (Aug.), tree lighting ceremonies (2 I believe), others I am forgettng, and the competitions of course!!! Her competition teams will be for hip hop, another team for jazz, and tap (assuming they keep it since she was the one who made the team possible due to low numbers).

Maisey started gymnastics at 2 and dance when the studio added it.
At 3 she began with Colombia Gorge Dance Academy and had a recitals there that year.
Next, we moved to Portland and she has danced with New Vision Dance for the last 5 years.
That is 7 years of dance in her 9 years! She is giving up Girl Scouts, soccer, basketball, activity days, and piano (which she gave up 2 years ago, and she was great!), for this passion.

As if things weren't busy enough with school (all of us), work, gymnastics and soccer (Ry), and all the stuff in the middle, right?
