Fall Soccer
Maisey "coaching" the team.
Maisey "comforting" Ana at their first practice. Ana just turned 4 the day before practice began and Maisey is so excited that she has a friend on the team- and a girl! She is use to being one of the few, and sometimes the only girl on many of her soccer and basketball teams.

Quatama and The Oregonian
Quatama is 80,000 sq. ft. and it can accommodate 600 students (they are starting will 500 in Sept. '08)
It's definitely more industrial looking than Orenco (the fairly new school she was going to attend before the construction of this one) but we feel so lucky to have all the "extras" new construction offers.
*Check out Thursday's Oregonian (one of the inner sections) to see pictures of us on the tour!

Bedtime Stories
I hope he likes to read. Maisey continually tells me she needs a "break" from the library. Until recently we went every week (since she was 18 months or so) and now she doesn't show much interest. I'm sure things will change over the next year as she learns to read all on her own.

FHE
I don't really have anywhere to put it but someday when our kids can read, we will write our names on the tags and find it the right home. It may just have to hang in our room out of sight for the time being.

"Come On Baby Light My Fire"
These days I'm trying to spice up "the blog" as I like to refer to this little "hobby" of mine. This hobby is all I have time for, and I thoroughly enjoy it. One thing I recently added was a "Picture of the Week", and a "Did You Know" blurb. Maybe this will keep the fire burning! I know most of my readers do not leave comments (which are the funnest part- I am like a kid receiving mail from the postman) but I do appreciate the frequent mention of "the blog" so that I know I am not writing to myself or boring everyone.

Summer Fun
What a cute baby boy! He is a little "toe head" like his big sister.
Big Sister Ambree. They are as sweet as can be and we love them watching them grow! Thanks Brian and Alexa for keeping in touch.

Vacation
As of today I am done with school until September 29th. I know time will go by super quick and I have a ton of things I want to do during this next couple of weeks. The first is to have and get this garage sale over with, and then after that, read, read, and read. Growing up I never enjoyed reading. My Grandma would buy me books just hoping I would love it like she did, but that never really happened. Although, I do like reading anything that has to do with parenting, the medical/childbirth realm, and most school related readings. Oh, what about my scriptures, I almost always read them daily but I plan on devoting more of my time to them in the future as well. Over the last few months I have added to an ongoing stack of reading materials that have interested me. Right now, priority goes to the parenting support books. I just need to be prepared with new tools in case I need them in the upcoming months. Along with that, many Ensigns and other magazines and journals. I plan on having some personal time when everyone is in bed to watch a movie, blog, and just do what seems interesting to me. I hope I don't sound selfish but it's vacation!

"Chill Time"
Ryley takes a dip just to "whine-d" down- sometimes he even tries to nod off to sleep until I pull him out. Give us a jingle and if we don't answer, you know where to find us!

"Tea for Two"
We were glad Sage could make it for tea sandwiches, cookies, and tea.
Even Herbie had fun! Can you see the purple frosting all over his face? He sure left his mark on Ryley... He's always trying to pick him up and he left hot pink and green all over the little guys- carseat, clothes and all. He's so affectionate.
Next time girls we will plan this one ahead.
It seems I have a lot of my Grandma in me because decorating sugar cookies is a lost art.

A Little Off the Top
Ryley had his 3rd haircut... Where does all this hair come from? We didn't have to mess with the back but the top and sides sure were long. His last cut was only 5 weeks ago. I think he is more maintenance than Maisey since her hair just grew, and grew, and grew. I can't wait until I can use the clipper on him and do it myself. Don't get me wrong, I don't like to cut hair but it is more convenient.

A Hot One!
I took this picture as I was driving away and as Maisey was complaining that we weren't there long enough....
Ryley and I agreed that 1 1/2 hours is plenty when it's that stinkin' hot! His face says it all!
